Virtual Staging: When It Helps and What to Know
By Shannon Ortega, Full Frame Media
Virtual staging adds furniture and decor to photos of an empty room. It helps buyers picture how the space can be used.
When it helps
- Vacant homes that look cold or small in photos.
- Rooms where the purpose is unclear, such as a bonus room or loft.
- Listings where physical staging is not practical.
What to know
- Use it to show potential, not to hide flaws or change the property itself.
- Disclose that the images are virtually staged. Many listing services and rules expect it.
- Keep a few unstaged photos so buyers can see the true space.
How it fits with your media
Virtual staging works best on top of strong, bright photos. Start with the right package and ask us about adding it, or book a shoot.
