How to Feel Comfortable on Camera as a Realtor
By Shannon Ortega, Full Frame Media
Almost everyone feels awkward on camera at first. The good news is that comfort is a skill, and it grows with repetition.
Before you film
- Write three to five bullet points, not a full script.
- Decide who you are talking to, and picture one person.
- Pick a spot with good light and little background noise.
While you film
- Look at the lens, not at yourself on the screen.
- Speak at a conversational pace and smile before you start.
- Do a take and watch it only after you have a few done.
- Keep each video short. One idea per video.
After you film
Do not judge the first few. Most agents see the biggest improvement between the first and fifth video they film.
